How It Works:

  • Chip Timing: You’ll receive a timing chip at registration that will be mounted to the right side of your fork or worn on your wrist. Times are recorded as you pass the beacons. Your fastest lap will count on the leader board for an overall result.

  • Interval Starts: Riders will start at 30-second ish intervals. Want to ride with friends? Adjust as needed, but be mindful of spacing for safety.

  • Best Lap Wins: Your fastest lap counts! In case of a tie, your second-fastest lap will determine the winner.

  • Crashes or mechanical issues: expect a brief delay. Marshals will quickly clear the course and get things back on track. There may be some waiting if delays occur.

  • What to Expect in Terms of Timing

    • Cycle Time per Rider: 1-2.5 min ish runs, and a 10-15 walk-back up.

    • Runs per Rider in 2 Hours: Hoping for 4-6 runs minimum per rider depending on event flow. there will also be 30 min for sight lap/s.

    • Wait Time: expect 0-15 minutes between runs, with possible delays if crashes or mechanical issues arise. You can drop in whenever you feel, just note who is in front of you to leave space.

    • Times are only recorded if you pass both the start AND Finish beacons.

    • Overall Experience: High-energy laps, relaxed downtime, and ample time to recover and strategize your best run.

Rules:

  • Timing Chip Required: All riders must be registered and wearing a timing chip on the right side of the fork to race.

  • Course Closure: The Cool Runnings trail will be closed to everyone other than registered amateur racers during these set times. 9-12 pm

  • Tie-Breaker: In case of a tie, the second fastest lap will determine the ranking.

  • Course Navigation: Riders must follow the taped route. If you leave the course, you must re-enter at the point where you exited; failure to do so may result in not getting a lap time or safety issues.

  • Sportsmanship: Poor sportsmanship or any cheating will lead to disqualification. Keep it fair and fun please.

Podium Awards:

  • Top 3 for each category. Meet at 4:45 PM in top gun zone to claim awards, grab food, and get in on the raffle for amazing prizes!!.
