At Hot Laps MTB, our mission is to deliver an exceptional mountain biking event that unites and excites the community. We provide a unique "best of 3" race format, dynamic Jump Jam sessions, and engaging skill-building workshops. With expanded trails and interactive demo days, our event offers multiple opportunities for riders of all levels to race, learn, and improve. 11:00 am – 3:00 pm - Cool Runnings Invitational Pro Slalom Training (Number plate required to practice - Trail closed to public)

3:00 pm – 7:00 pm - FREE Women’s Jump Session @ Top Gun Jump Zone

Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park is located in Kitsap County, Northwest of Seattle and across the Puget Sound (7 miles from the Kinston ferry dock, or 80 miles drive from Sea-Tac Airport ). The Ride Park has a network of short flow and tech mountain bike trails, a noteworthy jump zone, amazing hand built turns, expansion plans, and something for everyone. The ultimate venue for multiple Hot Laps, Demos, and hanging with friends.

FAQs

  • Campground (Port Gamble RC Field) will be open thursday night for people rolling into town. officially opening is at 9am on Friday, May 24rd and closes on Monday, May 27th at 12pm. Self serve camping at $10 per night/per car - Pay Here.

  • Event parking is FREE and will be offered at the Port Gamble RC Field.

  • The Invitational rider list has been pre-selected by Matt Orlando and Jill Kintner. Pro Riders who want a spot can send an email to Hotlaps@gmail.com about getting on the reserve list if there is room prior to the event. Apologies if we missed you, please reach out if you are pro and want to race!!!

  • Location is the Port Gamble RC Field adjacent to the Port Gamble trail system. It’s a big open grass area with a yellow gate to get in.

  • Absolutely! Come one come all! There will be plenty of things to do at The Top Gun Zone outside of racing. Stop on by and enjoy the free bike demos, heckle the racers, eat pizza, and ride some of the most fun trails in the state!This is a frequently asked question?

  • There is a rider cap of 75 that we cannot exceed due to race logistics. Qualified racers are chosen based on prior race experience. Riders who want a spot can inquire about getting on the reserve list in case we have room prior to the time of the event. We will review your race results which will admit you to the reserve list.

  • No, this is primitive camping in a large open space. Porto potties will be provided. Plan accordingly; Bring water, dispose of garbage, leave space clean, be kind to your neighbors, and quiet time is at 10pm.

  • Some of the top racers in the country are slated to compete at the invitational. Keep an eye on our social media for more information!This is a frequently asked question?
